This policy explains what information Bureau of Innovation LLC ("we", "us") handles through this website (bureauofinnovation.org) and through our text message (SMS) program, which covers our products and services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This website
This website has no forms, accounts or sign-in, and it does not set its own cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers. If you email us using a link on this site, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use them only to reply to you.
Like any website, when you visit, your browser sends technical information such as your IP address and browser type to the services that deliver the pages. This site is hosted by Cloudflare. The video on the home page is delivered from Google Firebase Storage and played with the Video.js player loaded from its own content network, so those services also receive this technical information when the video loads. Their handling of it is governed by their own privacy policies.
Text message program
What we collect. When you opt in to our text messages, in one of our apps (such as BlueBible or BlueTutor), by entering your mobile number and checking an unchecked consent box on the sign-in screen to receive verification codes, or by turning on the "Text me customer support updates" toggle in Settings, we handle your mobile phone number, the messages you send us and we send you, and a record of your consent (how and when you opted in) and of any opt-out.
How we use it. Only to send you the messages described in our SMS Terms (verification codes and customer support messages; no marketing messages), to answer your messages and requests for help, to honor your opt-out, and to keep a record that you agreed.
Who we share it with. We use a messaging service provider (Twilio) and mobile carriers to deliver messages; they process your number and messages on our behalf only to deliver them, and this is not sharing for their own use. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
No sharing for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent or trade your mobile number.
How long we keep it. We keep your phone number and messages while your account or relationship with us is active and for up to 1 year afterward. We keep records of your opt-in and opt-out consent for 4 years. We delete data sooner on request where the law allows.
Your choices
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@bureauofinnovation.org. We may keep a record of your opt-out so that we do not message you again.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
